IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE REGARDING OUR PARADE

United Third Bridge, Inc.

Florida’s 25th Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade 2022

Palm Bay, FL

U.T.B. United Third Bridge, Inc., would like to inform Brevard County residents and businesses alike that Florida’s 25th Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade WILL take place in Palm Bay, Fl on October 22, 2022.

Former City Council woman Teresa Lopez is misrepresenting UTB and is using the late Sam Lopez’ email (our deceased founder) to send out notices saying that the Puerto Rican Day Parade is cancelled and using fear tactics with the public in order to justify and try and sabotage our event. It is NOT the case. Our Florida’s 25th Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade is happening on October 22, 2022 in Palm Bay Florida. Our organization has already met with the City of Palm Bay, PD and Fire to ensure the safety of our community and its residents.

The email Teresa Lopez is sending out to our community is a problem that needs to be addressed in the media as soon as possible to prevent confusion and bring to light what’s she’s continuing to do since our Founder passed away, even after having an active lawsuit against her.

She is NOT the President of UTB United Third Bridge, Inc., nor the Chair of the Florida Puerto Rican/Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Inc. and has NOTHING to do with our organizations or events and is now the subject of a lawsuit for her continued falsehoods and misrepresentations to the community at large. We have documented proof to verify the story. The time has come to let the public know what is going on and to provide clarity once and for all.

We are here to serve the community and are looking forward to an exciting 25th Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade and Festival dedicated to the life and legacy of Samuel C. Lopez who was a champion for the rights and liberties of the Hispanic and minority population in Brevard County. UTB United Third Bridge Inc will honor his legacy by celebrating with a Parade followed by an outdoor Festival event for the people of our community and the great state of Florida free of cost to attendees. This will be the first time the Parade will enter through Samuel C.Lopez Way, the street in front of Palm Bay City Hall that was named after him.

Regrettably, we must inform you to hereafter disregard any and all communications from the email UTB@aol.com as it is a fraudulent person giving false information from UTB United Third Bridge, Inc. and the Florida Puerto Rican/Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Inc.

UTB United Third Bridge, Inc. is a 501©3 not-for-profit organization founded by Samuel C. Lopez on July 5, 1977 with the purpose of promoting Hispanic programs of a civic, social and cultural nature.
