U.T.B. United Third Bridge, Inc., was founded by the late Samuel C. Lopez and is an educational, cultural and civil rights 501©3 nonprofit organization, incorporated in New York City on July 5, 1977, and also in Brevard County Florida in 1998 committed to promoting and encouraging the education of Hispanics and minorities as well as hosting events that celebrate their contributions. From Advocacy to education, U.T.B. is leading the way to enact positive changes. By striving to promote what matters in our society we help to empower, educate, and engage Hispanics and minorities to create and make a positive impact in our community. We work together in solidary to raise educational and cultural awareness.

Our Purpose

To further the advancement of minorities in education, equal employment, housing, and social justice. We actively oppose all forms of discrimination and support promotion of minorities in all sectors.

Our Goals

Empower minorities through voter education and government representation. Develop working relationships with government and private sector to improve quality of life for Hispanics and minorities.

Civil Rights

Oppose discrimination based on social, ethnic, religious, race, or sexual orientation. Investigate civil rights complaints and mediate inequities across Brevard County and Florida.

45+ Years of Community Impact

Established in 1977 in New York City, U.T.B. United Third Bridge, Inc. has served Brevard County since 1997, beginning with the first Puerto Rican Day Parade in the State of Florida. For nearly five decades, UTB has advanced a mission rooted in patriotism, cultural preservation, education, community outreach, and civil‑rights advocacy. Our organization’s legacy includes the creation of Florida’s oldest Puerto Rican Day Parade, the establishment of scholarship opportunities for students, and decades of sustained service to families across the region. Today, UTB continues to build on this foundation by promoting cultural understanding, strengthening community engagement, and supporting equitable access to resources for all.
